John and Aly’s March wedding was the perfect end to those drab cold days! Say goodbye to winter! Beautiful tall trees with grounds and gardens covered in vibrant greenery, paired nicely to the bright pops of yellow wedding details. The early afternoon was spent getting ready and capturing Aly’s bridal details…I.E. The dress, shoes, jewelry…etc. John and Aly participated in a first look on the house steps at Hopkins Farm which led into strolling moments around the venue’s large acres of land and pastures. But the best highlights of the day do not end here.
There is no better way to show honor and respect by serving one another during a feet washing ceremony. We’ve never actually been able to experience one first hand, needless to say this was indeed our highlighted moment of the day.
John 13: 3-5 “Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come forth from God and was going back to God, got up from supper, and laid aside His garments; and taking a towel, He girded Himself. Then He poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.”
John and Aly ended the evening with a nice twist on reception dancing. Contra dancing was called out and all the guests had a great time participating in such a fun event!!
